Morganway live set, Cambridge
Four cameras cut live with ISO recordings, plus multitrack audio mixed for release.
The job
Morganway wanted a full live set recorded and cut live, with audio good enough to release as highlights or track by track.
What we did
We set up four cameras and a control station out of the way of a sold-out audience at a venue in West Cambridge. The band’s sound engineer recorded the multitrack audio and cued us to start. We cut the cameras live and recorded each one separately as an ISO, an isolated recording of each camera kept as a safety.
Afterwards we made a draft mix from the multitracks, put it against the pictures and sent it to the band. They picked the tracks to focus on, which set the second round of mixing.
Outcome
The band got a complete live set to cut into highlights or individual tracks, with audio mixed to their choices.
